Our learning WB 03.10.22
Week beginning 03.10.22
We have had another brilliant week! The children made me really proud at the Harvest service, the Chair of Governors sent an email to say how impressed she was with them which is lovely to hear.
This week we have been
- learning new sounds in phonics and remembering the previous ones - s a t p i n m d g o c k ck e u r
- using ten frames and cubes to show numbers and continuing to consolidate one more and one less than a number
- showing numbers on our fingers in different ways
- subitising
- talking about different feelings and when we feel like this
- measuring in different containers, using language - full, half full, empty, more, less
- practicing our letter formation
- reading with adults
Nursery:
This week nursery children have been
- exploring phase 1 phonics - focusing on what they can hear in different environments
- counting and beginning to explore numbers
- lots of stories
- using the interactive whiteboard to play games about numbers
A few reminders:
- please can you write in the reading records so we know if your child(ren) have read at home
- please let us know if the book it too easy/hard for your child, we want to instill a love of reading and therefore the correct book match is important
- please watch the phonics videos if you can with your child(ren) - feel free to share photos/videos with me on tapestry
I hope you all have a lovely weekend :)
Miss Lewis
