Week beginning 30th April Another busy week here at school! The children were amazing yet again for our visitor and loved speaking to her and showing her around our classroom and garden.  I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend - hoping for some sunshine!  The children are now counting down the days until our trip, they are very excited and ask me daily 'Miss Lewis are we going to the Zoo today' This week we have been:  In Phonics we been focusing on reading longer words, and practicing writing these every day too New tricky words in Phonics have been: were here little and says Nursery Listening time: blend from the box, new sound 'b', recapping taught sounds, clapping out syllables, catching bubbles outside whilst practicing 'b' words.  Reception- In Maths we have been continuing to focus on teen numbers.  Week beginning 22nd April Wow - what a week! The children were absolutely incredible in front our visitors, a credit to you all!  It has been a very busy week, we have been enjoying both the indoor and outdoor provision :) This week we have been:  In Phonics we been focusing on reading longer words, and practicing writing these every day too New tricky words in Phonics have been: said, some come like and do Nursery Listening time: blend from the box, new sound 'h', recapping taught sounds, clapping out syllables, and thinking of our own rhyming words.  Reception- In Maths we have been focusing on teen numbers. We have been using the tens frames to show the how a full tens frame always shows 10 and then we can count on the next tens frame to find the number. Week beginning 16th April Welcome back to school! Here we are in Summer term already! The children have settled back into the routines well and have loved sharing all the lovely things they got up to in the holidays. I hope you all managed to have a lovely and restful break.  You should have received an overview of our topic for the whole of Summer term which details what we will be covering until July. Week Beginning 25th March

 Week beginning 25th March And just like that we are 2/3 through the year! What a busy term we have had, it seems to have gone by very quickly. I heard that the children had a lovely time with Mrs Neal, Mrs Simpson and Mrs Barnes and I received lots of lovely comments about their behaviour and learning which was lovely! I have not given out any reading books or badger books, this will start again after the holidays.  I hope you all have a lovely half term and I will look forward to hearing all about it from the children when we come back.  Reception: how you can help at home:  allowing children to get themselves dress - e.g. buttons and zips.  writing numbers up to 20 writing sentences, including capital letters, finger spaces and full stops Nursery: how you can help at home:  writing their name, on lines would be great writing numbers  playing games to build concentration  drawing different things - like people, the sun, rainbows etc.  Reminders: PE kit is needed every Tuesday - this
