Class 1 Blog

 Happy Friday :) one more week to go, although Class 1 do have a lot of energy and enthuasiam I think they are ready for a rest.  I hope you all have had a lovely week, we have had a fun week in class 1.  This week our learning has still been based around 'Farmer Duck'. The children really enjoyed this story, and it was great to see them retell the story during the independent learning. The children have enjoyed drawing and painting scenes from the story too. Class 1 have thoroughly enjoyed our new outdoor equipment and we have spent a lot of time out there this week. Next week we are going to have a go at tidying up our outdoor area and planting some seeds.  This Friday - we are collecting all reading books in to complete an audit, therefore your child will not have a reading book until the 31st March but they will have opportunities to read at school. The children have particularly enjoying drawing pictures of the different animals in the story, we have been focusing on taking our time with our drawings and adding more detail.  Our new outdoor equipment has now been finished and will be ready to use on Monday - not sure who is more excited!  Next Friday - we are collecting all reading books in to complete an audit so your child will not have a reading book for that weekend but will have one for the holiday.  Some things we have enjoyed this week are: our new writing area where we have access to lots of different materials to write on and we can pick what purpose we are writing for. Happy Friday :) Sorry for my delayed post - last week was very busy and I seem to have blinked and now it is Friday again :) I hope you all have had a lovely week, we have had a fun week in class 1.  This week our learning has been based around 'Pig in the Pond'. The children have enjoyed the provision that has been based around this this, such as painting, drawing, making lists and writing sentences about the story. It has also sparked conversations about our upcoming farm trip. The children have enjoyed watching the workmen getting rid off our old trim trail and starting to replace it.
